Field Trainee
Introduction

A Field Trainee is an employee who is brand-new to the lawn care industry and has little-to-no knowledge on how to use lawn care equipment or take care of a yard at a professional level. A Field Trainee must be incredibly open to being consistently coached and micromanaged during their practice in the beginning

Job Description and Purpose

As mentioned in the introduction, a Field Trainee’s primary goal is to work towards becoming proficient with the use of standard lawn care equipment, as well as knowing how to properly maintain and clean-up a yard.

Initial Skills Required:

None

Responsibilities:

Learn how to use basic lawn care equipment, including:

  • String Trimmer

  • Blade Edger

  • Blower

  • Push Mower

  • Backpack Sprayer

Other Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have consistent transportation

  • Must be open to a background check

  • At a minimum, must hold a documented education level of a high school degree or equivalent (GED)
